There aren’t any really awesome or popular apps that have gone free today. Yesterday’s awesome apps, The Deep Pinball (App Store) and Dark Harvest (App Store), are still free to download as of this writing.

The best app that have gone free today is probably Pig Rush $.99 –> Free (App Store) Let your pig run and jump across a 3D environment in this side scrolling platformer. You can choose how high your pig can jump. If you jump to far and fast, you may just fall into the abyss.

Why is it great? Watch and play as cute pig running and jumping on a gorgeous 3D environment!

Sponge Dude $1.99 –> Free (App Store) is free for today only. You are a sponge that tries to flip and jump across a 2D terrain to make it to the exit with some nifty tools. There are some control issues that distract you from the game, but it is still a game worth checking out.

Why is it great? Hey is not the real lovable Sponge Guy. But kids should like this Sponge Dude as well.

iSeedSpit $1.99 –> Free (App Store) turns your app machine’s speaker into seed blower. See how far you can spit the virtual watermelon seed by blowing into the iDevice’s speaker. It is a refreshing way to use your iPhone.

Why is it great? Test you lung capacity with the nifty game that uses your lung instead of fingers.
