“Great Apps Gone Free” is our daily column that features great and valuable paid apps that have just gone free. They have gone free temporarily because the developers want their apps to get some exposure and user ratings for promotional purposes.

Usually there may be 20 to 50 apps gone free per day. However, many are crappy apps that offer nothing of value. We’ve tested them and filtered out crappy apps from our list so the apps we feature are quality apps that are actually worth your time to download. But get these apps quickly because most are just free for a limited time. Some apps are free for even less than a day!

There are also virtual reality games. Kill zombies, gangsters, and cowboys in each of the 3 games. Be warned, these games require a iPhone 3GS to play as the app need to get access to the compass function in order to make the game works. You have 2 guns and the zombie game to choose from in the beginning. You can accumulate points SLOWLY….. by shooting rounds. New unlocks usually require at least 10k points. Of course, the developer wants to charge you $0.99 for every 10k points you buy to unlock additional weapons. It is your decision to accumulate points slowly or to buy them.
