iRwego (itunes link), The accelerator-based Super Mario sound effect app has just been released to the App Store. This is most likely to be banned from the App Store soon since it was not approved by Nintendo. So get it now while you still can. Because Nintendo is almost guaranteed to complain to Apple that it violates its Mario intellectual properties, and Apple being copyright police themselves will ban this app from your iPhones and iPod Touch.

iRwego is a cool app that best works when placed in your pocket. It will detect various movements you make. When you jump, the familiar Mario jump sound will play. Sometimes you’ll even hear the coin sound when jumping into a power-up box. You can also get the “worp, worp, worp” sound that plays when entering a green pipe. There are also other familiar sounds such as jumping on enemy heads and hitting those orange question-mark power-up boxes.

Playing game sounds based on movements it a great app idea. More apps should be made from sound effect of other hit games. Unfortunately, Nintendo will not be happy to see their favorite character being used without their permission. So get Mario sounds in the App Store now for $0.99 while it lasts!

Update: As expected, it has already been pulled from the App Store. But unexpectedly, it was pulled by the developer instead of Apple. More from the developer at irwegoapp.com.
