iPhone apps are incredible. Now apps can even translate spoken English to Spanish, and spoken Spanish to English vice versa in real time. Language is no longer a barrier between individuals. And in the USA where millions of Hispanics speak only Spanish, communicating in Spanish is almost a necessity in our daily lives.

Jibbingo is an iPhone app that acts as a real live translator for it’s users. It is a bidirectional language translator, so two people that don’t speak the same language can have a live conversation with one another.

The app does have some limitations. The bidirectional translation only works on the iPhone 3GS. For the older models, users need to manually switch the translation direction. Also, the app may have problems translating complex sentences. Thus, when talking via the Jibbigo translator app, users need to talk in short concise sentences that the app can understand.

The Jibbigo app costs $25 dollars, but it is well worth the price if you need to communicate with Spanish speaking individuals on a daily basis. The app uses an internal database so does not require an internet connection. It greatly improves the speed of the translation.
