I really tried to love Rate My Puppy, but for the life of me I could not. Ok I admit it, I’m a cat lover. So I was eagerly awaiting Pistol Shrimp to release this app Rate My Kitten (App Store Link). Now I can while away the hours swiping through hordes of cute furry kittens! So I admit it, I am biased. Therefore, in the name of journalistic integrity I got my 12 year old daughter to write the review:

“This app will have cat lovers purring. Rate My Kitten is a neat new app, much like Rate My Puppy, that enables you to rate other cat owners’ cats pictures. I found the layout very simple and effective, even non-tech savvy cat lovers could use it with ease.

If you’re looking for a way to brighten up your day, just open this app and it will have you smiling and aww-ing in seconds. There are contests that the app creators have produced. If your cat picture gets a high rating you will receive a prize! I think that by providing some incentive the creators will get a higher amount of buyers.

But the fun doesn’t stop there, anyone can add their own cute-as-a-button kitty pictures, too. I, personally, love cats and I think this app will be a good way for cat lovers, owners and everyone in between to showcase their cats. Basically, it’s a cat show for people who can’t or don’t want to go to one!”

Ooops, I forgot to mention she is a cat lover too, actually our whole family is, so there is no way this review can be unbiased!

One irritation should be noted with this app. When my daughter downloaded it she got an ad-free version. My app includes banner ads which really detracts from the whole cuteness thing. Even an ad for Rate My Kitten…really? Pretty hard to concentrate on cute when you are being bombarded with stupid ads. I would gladly pay $1.99 for this app to forgo the ads. Are you listening Pistol Shrimp? K thx lolz.
