GTA model Games Coming for the iPhone?
Rumor has spread across the internet world about Gameloft introducing Gangstar West Coast Hustle, a clone of GTA on the iPhone and iPod Touch. As a crude and mysterious post that came up on this site, a message reads, “Gang$tar West Coast Hustle-Official Website coming soon.” The author seems to be credible enough, the IP address being from Canada – Quebec – Montreal – Divertissements Gameloft Inc. It even has a twitter account you can follow.
Very little is known about the game and hopes on a high end graphics is being raised. But both GTA fans and iPhone fans are equally thrilled at this awesome addition apple is setting up on its iPhone series. The game is to allow the user to use apple’s touch technology to reconstruct a 3D model of a fictional LA where the user could choose from either roaming around, being the trouble maker, or take up missions. The original game has the user stealing vehicles, getting into gunfights, and evading police and even listening to the user’s custom selected tracks and radio stations while playing.
While the news is promising and exciting, users are still doubtful on how iPhone processors would be able to manage the game itself, owing to its high graphics requirement and size on disk, even when iPhone successfully runs several other similar games like Payback. The difference is that Gangstar offers a 3D model view while Payback had the top-down approach only. Let’s wait and see if the Developers can deliver a great great. But before that, enjoy the following game video.
