iPhone 3G Unlock not Working? Try 0.9.4 Beta

Many people had problems unlocking their iPhone 3G yesterday with the new yellowsn0w application v0.9 from the Dev Team. Today, although still in beta, v0.9.4 is released. More people all over the world who previously couldn’t unlock with v0.9 reported that the unlock now works. However, it still doesn’t work perfectly. Some people had to make adjustments on iPhone’s various settings to make outgoing calls. While some people have to order different SIM cards from their carriers to make the unlock work.

Yes, SIM cards can possibly make a difference. MuscleNerd (twitter) says that the newer T-Mobile’s USA SIM card may not work with yell0wsnow. Thus the Dev Team may be working on a fix for it. There are also still many people who cannot use their iPhone 3G properly after running yell0wsnow. Some are still twicking settings and SIM cards, hoping for a unlocked, working iPhone 3G. If you are eager to unlock your iPhone 3G, give it a try with the newest beta. If you still can’t unlock the iPhone properly, wait for the non-beta yellowsn0w version. Hopefully, everyone can unlock their iPhone 3G’s soon without all the frustrations!
