iPhone Doesn’t like Windows 7 with Intel inside?

intel-iphone-connectionfail

Over the past weeks, there have been iPhone syncing complaints from users that runs Windows 7 on Intel P55 chipsets.  iPhone users would get error message, “error 0xE8000065″, when trying to sync the iPhone on iTunes 9.

The users’ configuration has a few things in common.  They are running Intel P55 chipsets.  A majority also runs Windows 7, although reports show that there are also some Vista users involved in iPhone sync errors running the Intel P55 chipsets. Intel themselves says on Monday that it is investigating this glitch.  “Our leading theory is a BIOS or system configuration issue, but we are still investigating.”

Microsoft denies it’s involvement in the iPhone syncing failures.  “Microsoft  has not seen this particular question posed in the Microsoft answers for Windows 7 community forum.  If we determine this to be a problem specific to windows 7, we will post an update on the Microsoft answer site.”

As it stands now, Intel chipsets may be the most likely culprit for iPhone connection failure.  Hopefully the problem will be resolved soon.
