iPhone OS 4.0 to add Multi-tasking Function and New Gestures?
As with all things Apple, we just don’t know for sure what they have planned for this upcoming Wednesday. Though industry experts almost unanimously agree that Apple will unveil its unicorn, the fabled tablet computer.
But additionally, most expect the newest iPhone OS to be shown as well. This makes sense given that many believe the 4.0 OS will incorporate features from the almost certain to be new OS for the tablet.
Again, just conjecture and rumors but expect:
- New and improved gestures for ease of use
- Multitasking and the ability to run applications in the background, a huge leap forward towards making the iPhone a functioning full-on computer.
- New syncing for contacts and calenders
- Improved navigation
- A brand new user interface
- By all indications the folks at Apple are “really excited”
As of yet there is little to no buzz in the jail breaking and unlocking development community but we will be watching and waiting to hear from them as well.
